VINDÉMIA (GROUPE BOURBON) reorganizes its purchasing and affiliation policies

VINDÉMIA (the retailing branch of GROUPE BOURBON) has decided to reorganize the affiliation and procurement systems for its stores.

This reorganization falls within the context of :
- the shareholding taken by CASINO in VINDÉMIA,
- the expiry of the current trade-name and supply contract with CORA, at the end of 2003.

VINDÉMIA has enjoyed some twelve years of profitable collaboration with the CORA group.

As regards purchasing, VINDÉMIA will avail itself of EMC DISTRIBUTION, the CASINO group merchandizing hub, and thereby profit from its negotiating power.

Reciprocally, VINDÉMIA's special know-how in the logistics of purchasing and supply for island or remote zones will benefit the CASINO group in its future development and boost exports for VINDÉMIA suppliers in each of its operating countries.
As regards the stores themselves, VINDÉMIA is currently studying the best balance between each store, its market radius, the type of clientele and the trade-names already used within the VINDÉMIA or CASINO holdings.

Once these studies are completed, the new systems and networks will be implemented during the second semester of 2003. They will allow VINDÉMIA to streamline its operations and pursue its policy of enterprising development.
