In order to complete the training for its officers, BOURBON is investing in an innovative concept—the reference vessels. This is a vessel in operation, staffed by employees with significant experience (officers or bosun) who can finalize training or validate promotions. They are called references.
The reference vessels are true mobile training centers that allow the group to flexibly meet its training needs in each of its operating area.
A full, confirmed crew is on board. The crew partners with trainees to allow them to practice the theoretical knowledge they have acquired and integrate the operational, quality and safety standards of BOURBON.
The first reference vessels operate in Africa, Indonesia, Latin America and Norway.
This concept is a major innovation in the sector from BOURBON, one of the reasons it stands out from its competitors.
