Training centers in partnership with local players

La formation BourbonIn partnership with the French National Merchant Navy School (ENMM), BOURBON contributed to the first certified training center in France for Dynamic Positioning System operators.

Moving oil rigs in deep water requires the use of new technologies. Often vital in the offshore sector, the "DP" dynamic positioning system maintains the vessel at constant coordinates (a fixed point on the seabed) or maintains its course and relative position above a moving element.

Now, it is no longer necessary to go to Great Britain! BOURBON deck officers can obtain, in Marseilles, a quality training course in the DPS simulation room at the ENMM.

This important training project exists thanks to the collaboration of the government, local authorities and the ENMM in Marseilles. BOURBON is promoting professions in marine services and is working so that the training provided in France meets the most stringent international standards. With their training, these merchant marine officers have the best skills to apply for the many career opportunities offered by BOURBON.

In addition to the training centers developed by BOURBON on its own or in partnerships, the group periodically uses the services of independent training centers to train its seamen.
