BOURBON is engaging itself to do best efforts for this website to be accessible to the majority.

Some people having physical or mental deficiencies or a low speed connexion can meet difficulties surfing websites. Accessibility consists in respecting some rules to facilitate access to websites for these people.

Design philosophy

Design principle of BOURBON website is to respect W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) guidelines to guarantee accessibility to the majority and portability under numerous browsers and mediums.

This is the reason why we separated content from layout. We used XHTML language for the content and Cascading Style Sheets for the layout. If you have questions or suggestions regarding accessibility of this website, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Styles personnalisation

BOURBON website uses a default style sheet in which contrasts have been studied to allow an easy reading (dark text on clear background) and a style sheet for printing.
Print style sheet will automatically be used when you ask your browser to print a page.

Medias and alternative contents

For each of the content that can be a source of difficulties, an alternative content is proposed (alternative text for an image or a Flash movie...). Useful help to facilitate reading of PDF documents can be found on Adobe website : http://www.adobe.com/enterprise/accessibility/readcontent.html.

Navigation helps

Elements order in the page have been studied to increase reading comfort for screen readers users. For the same goal, main language is given at the top of each page.

As the semantics is respected, page structure allows an easy navigation from one element to another.
